Your 'Just' Is Enough, pt. 2

Nov 23, 2025    Pastor Scott Ochsner

What if the breakthrough we're desperately seeking doesn't require more effort, but simply more belief? This powerful message challenges us to reconsider everything we think we know about faith by exploring a revolutionary concept: your 'just' is enough. Drawing from the story of the woman with the issue of blood in Matthew 9, we discover that she didn't need an elaborate prayer chain, multiple conferences, or spectacular demonstrations—she simply believed that if she could 'just' touch the hem of Jesus' garment, she would be healed. Jesus Himself confirmed this, declaring that her faith made her well. The sermon unpacks multiple biblical examples, from the Gentile woman who only asked for crumbs from the Master's table to the centurion who understood that Jesus only needed to speak one word for healing to occur. Perhaps most striking is the mustard seed illustration—a jar containing over 17,000 tiny seeds, yet Jesus said we only need faith the size of one single seed to move mountains or uproot mulberry trees. We've been conditioned to believe that bigger is better, that God only moves in spectacular ways, but Scripture reveals that the smallest amount of God is more powerful than any obstacle we will ever face. One drop of Jesus' blood contains more forgiving power than all our sins combined. This isn't a lazy gospel—it's a liberating one that calls us to stop chasing performances and start seeking His presence. When we complicate our faith with endless requirements and religious gymnastics, we miss the simple truth that God's Word is enough, His promise is enough, and our simple belief activates everything Heaven has already provided.
